He Found Us

This blog hasn’t existed long enough to make a post about my cat Mr. Poe having been missing for the past eight days. Today or rather early this morning (3am~ish), Mr. Poe appeared out of the darkness of the night as if he had never been gone. It puzzles the family as to where he goes off to for days at a time, for this is not the first time he does this. Meh.

Here’s some pics of said Mr. Poe:

Winter 2010 Anime Preview

Posted: December 30, 2009 in anime

Out of the new batch of winter 2010 anime I’ve selected the following three for my list of must-see anime.

  • Okami Kakushi (Studio AIC; Ryukishi07 Original): The synopsis is pretty reminiscent of Higurashi and the characteristics of the no Naku Koro Ni series (i.e. moe characters and gruesome murders) are present. This is sure to be an interesting anime and it’s only fitting that I who have deeply enjoyed the previous two installments gives this new one a try. Side-Note: DEEN isn’t in charge of this production, I haven’t a thing against their name but other fans do, could this be a good thing? Let’s hope so.

  • Dance in the Vampire Bund (Studio SHAFT): I’ll be honest here, if it weren’t for the Lolita vampire slaughtering people Elfen Lied style I wouldn’t give a fuck about it. What is it about seeing little kids commit horrendous murders that’s so intriguing? Best not to dwell too deeply on that.

  • Sora no Woto (Studio A-1 Pictures): An original story with no prior installment in manga or a light-novel series. It’s sporting moe girls and an old Spanish setting, this should be interesting.

PS3 Got!

Twas a lazy x-mas eve and x-mas day. I spent the better part of x-mas eve shopping around with my sister looking for a PS3 Slim. At the first stop we made I bought a football and The Hangover (blu-ray <3), at the second I bought my first new Playstation game Valkyria Chronicles. After a few more stops we had failed to find a PS3 Slim and returned home. So there we were with blu-ray content for a PS3 we didn’t even have yet. One call to a gamestop half an hour’s drive away later we finally had a PS3 and x-mas was welcomed with The Hangover.

Lastly, Valkyria Chronicles is pretty sweet, I made an excellent first pick for a game.
